I am a writer based in West Dorset, England. I hold two degrees from Oxford University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Photojournalism from the London College of Printing, and an MSc in Journalism from Columbia University, New York. My writing is travel focused, with much of my recent work taking me to remote parts of the world where I report on the wildlife conservation, threats to eco-systems and fragile cultures.
I have been editor-at-large for Condé Nast Traveller (UK), special correspondent for Condé Nast Traveler (US), travel editor for The Economist 1843, and a columnist for FT Weekend and How To Spend It.
The Lost Pianos of Siberia is my first book — a work of non-fiction, published by Doubleday in the UK (February 2020), and Grove Press in the US (June 2020). Please see www.lostpianosofsiberia.com.
